The event was HUGE – a few thousand people in and out to say the least. Overall, it was a competition split down the middle into the youth division and upper division with a couple of mind blowing performances by Future Funk, Les Twins, and Last Season’s ABDC champs – Poreotics.
It was our first time here. My horizon to what people can do on stage and with their body movements was definitely broadened and my jaw was definitely dropped. Had a good time checking out dancers’ creativity with their choreography, but met a couple of obstacles for sales. The crew and I definitely gained some serious experience from the event.
Anyway, here’s what went down: Door opened at 3PM, we were there since 12 to set up:
↑ The crew that was holding it down at the event.

A new thing that we tried – Shoulder Cover. The idea was to neatly package the tees even if they’re on the hangers. I thought it’d bring out the classiness, like an art work as oppose to just a piece of cloth, and the quality that I’d like to portray from our shirts.
Turned out, it worked. But it also gave the impression to keep away from the shirts. People were afraid to touch them, which defeats the purpose of having the booth – Interaction. So we took the cover off half way into the event. Bummer.
It was also Eric [Airwick]’s first. He arrived earrrly.
↑ Canon G series!

Show started at 4:30.
Met Tiff, a mutual friend between Michelle and Johnson.

We were so busy at the event that we had our lunch at 6. Tim’s stomach had been singing a symphony since 2. Mine was too busy eating itself.

Close up!
Along side of me was Cyrus [Visionary Photography], an uprising photographer. He’s got the swagger.
Took some time off to say hi to some old companions. Always fun to hang with [Unscripted].
↑Guy in Red’s Roy. He just had his birthday. Now go tell him happy belated.
Jon from [Fully Laced]. That guy’s so full of energy and got a charismatic personality. Cool dude.
Cody and Tony came by to check the show out.

Intermission!
While some go pee and grab a drink, Poreotics were there to sign some posters and people’s faces.
↑My wide angle wasn’t wide enough to capture the fully loaded Poreotics, so I got 3 of them. and one of the twins.
Aside from seeing some old friends, met a couple of new ones, too.
Randy and his buddy from [RadisRad].
↑Randy’s been in the game for a while now. Started from down south, now they’re going everywhere with their rad apparel. We didn’t have much time to converse, for his booth was almost always filled, but I remember what he told me when I ask him about his experiences with the brand – “You just gotta find a direction and go at it, man.” Word.
The [Timeless crew] from LA! Jacob, Justin, Sang, and friend, who I failed to get a name from (sorry!) holding it down at WOD.
Saw the Crizaldo Fam Bam! Went to high school with Brian, good times.

..then I went outside.
Happening simultaneously was the car show just outside of the exposition hall. Crazy rides. rides that I wouldn’t dare to drive off my front yard.
..except for this one. Cody told me this is the first M3. classy.

Supraaa.
Then, it was 8. Remember what happened at 8pm on Nov. 13th?
..this happened.

One of the booth brought in a projector with a laptop streaming the fight directly to the event. Pacquiao won vacant WBC Super Welterweight World Title. Crowd went wild.
..then back to the event. In the back of the arena, there were bboy battles.

Bike shop – [Frqntflyr].
Tiffanie from high school, small world. This was my first time seeing her since…my high school sophomore year in swim team.
Jeremiah, high school buddy. I shoulda smiled.
Gavin and his team mate! They flipped the stage upside down and melted people’s faces. and I’m being modest.

BAM, that was a wrap. Ended at 12AM. A good 12 hour session for us, good times. Good lessons.

↑Lastly, ups to [Ian] for all the photo!
till next time,
